Thailand Ultimate is published and edited by Billy Reiner. Articles run under the site masthead rather than individual bylines, because the numbers are built from a single shared dataset that is re-checked on a schedule — but one person is accountable for what is on this site, and that is who it is.
If a figure here is wrong, out of date, or reads as though it was written by someone who has never actually paid a Thai hospital bill, write and say so. Corrections are made on the page, and the verification date is reset when they are.

Four rules every page follows
Every number carries a date
Thai prices, bank fees and government thresholds move. A figure without the date it was checked is not information, it is a guess with a confident font. Each page shows when its numbers were last verified, and the ones tied to shifting rules show when they are next due for review.
Primary sources, not aggregators
Hospital published price lists, bank fee schedules, Revenue Department and BOI documents, insurer policy wordings, school fee tables. Crowd-sourced averages are used as a cross-check and never as the primary figure — the reasoning is set out in full on our Numbeo page.
One exchange-rate anchor
Baht is the real number. USD conversions throughout the site use a single anchor of roughly 33 THB to the dollar so that figures stay comparable between pages instead of drifting with whatever rate applied on the day a page was written.
We say when we do not know
Thai rules are frequently in flux and sources contradict each other. Where a rule is proposed rather than law, or where practice differs from policy, the page says so rather than picking the tidier answer.

What we cover, and what we do not
This site covers the money. What a retirement visa requires in the bank, what a knee replacement costs at a private Bangkok hospital, what a bank charges to receive an international transfer, what Por 161/162 means for money you remit this year. It does not walk you through filling in visa forms or booking appointments — that is a different job, and other people do it better.
Thailand Ultimate is independent. It is not owned by, and does not take editorial direction from, any hospital, insurer, bank, visa agency or school. Some links to insurers and money-transfer services earn a commission at no cost to you; those relationships never determine which provider a page recommends or what a price table says, and the arrangement is spelled out in the editorial policy.
